About us
Thank you for choosing to visit Sharon & Kerrie Clayson at Holidays First.
We are a unique mother and daughter team who between us have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the holiday business and we are here waiting to help you plan your next holiday.
My career started in travel over 30 years ago when I was employed as a trainee in a busy retail shop. I soon found I had a passion, the world was a big place and I wanted to explore it either first hand or through my clients. That passion is still there; I enjoy my job and I am sure my enthusiasm passes on to my clients as they come back to me time and time again. For the last 14 years I have worked as a Personal Travel Advisor, firstly for Apollo Travel then moving to Holidays First when it was launched in April 2009. I work closely with my clients, getting to know you and understanding your needs enables me to find the perfect holiday every time.
I have been lucky enough to visit many corners of the world and have many personal recommendations that I would love to share with you.
As a family we took holidays in Europe (Greece always being the family favorite), Florida and the Caribbean but our all time favorite and a destination that has lasting memories has to be the first family trip to South Africa, taking the children on a safari was amazing! Now as a couple we do things a little different, we like to explore the smaller Greek islands in the summer or find a luxury hotel for a few days relaxation then go further a field in the winter visiting and exploring destinations such as India, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Namibia and Jordan - but there are still many on my to do list!
Understandably Kerrie was brought up on travel especially when I started working from home 14 years ago, holidays were always the main topic of discussion and as a teenager Kerrie always wanted to help, so naturally her work experience was at Apollo Travel. Leaving school Kerrie completed the training academy at Apollo Travel and hasn’t looked back since – she was runner up at the Agent Achievement Awards in the Young Travel Agent of the Year category two years ago.
With 8 years experience Kerrie is also now a Personal Travel Advisor. She has the same passion and thoroughly loves traveling and sharing her knowledge with her clients, she is always friendly and will leave no stone unturned in finding the holiday that is right for you. She has just returned from an educational trip to Australia and is looking forward to her holiday later in the year which she hopes will include a trip to Borneo to see the orangutans.
